Anna and John J. Sie are the founding donors of the Global Down Syndrome Foundation (Global) and Global’s Affiliates. The Sies’ aim was to reverse the terrible disparity of Down syndrome research funding at the National Institutes of Health (NIH) and to quickly and dramatically improve health outcomes for those with the condition.

With more than fifty professionals, the center is providing innovative research and patient care while looking at Down syndrome and Alzheimer’s disease as two-sides of the same coin.
Global Adult Medical Center for Down Syndrome
Global is working with Denver Health to pilot a medical center for adults with Down syndrome. The goal is to create a permanent, world-class center that will open in 2021.
